Dear Newsletter Persons,

I am presently here in Tokyo being debriefed by Coathanger senior management, Esquire Magazine and the C.I.A.; whilst at the same time enjoying a little R & R before returning to my normal corporate duties. I hope to be back within the next few weeks with my semi-regular Ross Ryan / Coathanger newsletters as well as with details of my next posting.

My thanks to all of you who expressed your concern during my extended stay in Mongolia as a guest of the Chinese government. Not only was this concern heartfelt but much was of a practical nature.

Surprisingly, there were many offers of assistance from folks on our mailing list, including free legal and diplomatic advice and even names and contacts in China right up to the office of the mayor of Beijing.

I was very touched - not to mention flabbergasted - but nonetheless, touched. Thank you all.
