I think that covers most things. Next month we hope to be announcing not only that the new, new album is still nearing completion, but also some exciting live gig news. Can't tell you much more at this stage as I've got a luncheon appointment just after my pedicure. Busy, busy!
Y'all take care now you hear?
Cheers
Connie

~ RR Tour 2003 ~
Tour 2003 kicked off big time with the debut of Ross Ryan Dot Combo at the Melbourne Music & Blues Festival . Although most of Ross's touring continues to be solo gigs - he hopes to have the band working around Melbourne in the next few months. I'm really sorry I missed the festival. I would have loved to have seen Bob Dylan.

As you can see, I'm still here in Geneva, the scene of last month's dramatic news re Ross's long awaited album. As most of the stores here don't take delivery of their Spring lines until mid March it seemed a shame to miss out on what I'm sure will be some very exciting offerings from the big name labels. Also I've finally booked in to have my bellybutton pierced (at a quaint little tattoo parlour / icecream outlet I found just near the museum) early April. I'm having a small gold coathanger inserted - one of our future product items here at Coathanger Merchandising.
Anyway, I'm possibly digressing .....

As reported last month, Coathanger has delayed the release of Ross's much anticipated new album. The reason given was that the Coathanger board felt that the songs themselves - although toe-tapping they may be - were somewhat depressing. Much too depressing for the present taste and mindset of the world market.
As a result Ross has been busy, using such tools as Find & Replace and random greeting card messages, to rewrite the songs' lyrics.
We have received many e-mails from furious Ross Ryan fans livid that Coathanger has seen fit to block Ross's new album. In an attempt to distract these folks, Coathanger released a free mp3 single "Cool River". Described as much more upbeat than most of Ross's recent work, we are keen to prove that there is indeed an album in the pipeline. No really.
