Hi everyone and welcome to our first Online Expanded Spam featuring all the latest news from the world of Ross Ryan.

I am writing this from an extended motivational course I am attending along with all the other Coathanger employees who aren't presently on vacation, And yes the weather's perfect.

Well the big news, outside of the continuing saga of Ross's new album, has been the expansion of Ross Ryan Tour 2002. As you may recall from my last Spam, we invited you folks to send in your suggestions as to where we might find places for Ross to play. Much thanks to all of you who e-mailed in venue details. We shall be following them all up in due course.

However we have already struck paydirt - so to speak. As well as Ross's upcoming Armadillo gig in Mentone back in Melbourne on the 18th of this month, we have now added (thanks to NT lass Barbara) dates on the 11th & 12th at The Granites - a gold mining camp 600km N.W. of Alice Springs.

Those of you unable to attend the first evening gig will be as excited as Ross was to discover that he'll also be performing there at 7:30am the following morning for the night shift workers. Although it's a bit out of the way, we encourage you all to attend one of these concerts as they're sure to be a once in Ross's lifetime experience!

Last month's debut date - his first performance in 7 years - at the Armadillo in Mentone, Melbourne was, according to an SMS message I got the next day, a great success. Ross received a large number of e-mails over the following days which I can assure you were most appreciated.

So here's a reminder that Ross will be back at the Armadillo on Wed September 18. You can book for dinner and show or just turn up. After the "off-Broadway" experience that is The Granites - the guy should be in peak condition. As the poster says... "See him live before he changes his mind!"

Finally a word about the new album. We here at Coathanger understand that this has become a bit of a running joke over the years amongst those interested in the Ryan-World. However if Ross's physical and mental state are any indication, then we seem to be on track to have the sucker out there before the end of the year. It seems he's even come up with a title for the CD but the battery on my mobile died and I seem to have lost that bit of info. Maybe next Spam.

Hopefully we'll be able to have these little chats on a slightly better than once a year basis. You all take care of yourselves - I'm off to the casino.
