| Dear Friends, As Ross Ryan's default management organisation and record label, Coathanger has been keenly anticipating the conclusion of the long journey that has been the recording of Ross's first studio album in nearly two decades. Many of you have shared this experience with us - although in different ways.
On the other hand, we just want to sell as quickly as we can, as many damn CDs as possible. It's called liquidity and it's a kind of popular concept around the offices here at Coathanger. Thus, it is with a heart heavier than you can imagine, that I and the Coathanger board have decided to cancel the release of the completed album - "Chase The Ghosts Away" - delivered, by Ross, to our offices in Milan during the closing moments of 2002.
Our solution is twofold. Firstly, our lawyers have explained to Ross that the Latin sections of his contract more or less obligate him to rewrite most of the album's lyrics. The recordings themselves are excellent and really how hard is it to write a bunch of new words? Ross's brief is to seek out the lighter side of life and to pass this off as art. The second part of our plan is to cheer Ross up. We are presently mapping out a promotional campaign which will highlight, though mostly magnify, the positive sides of Ross's personality. Our strategy is to make the guy feel good about himself again.
Allow
me to end on a positive note. DeKlien Inc. - the parent company
to Coathanger - will get beyond this mere hiccup. Our experience
in automotive spare parts and the ever evolving Italian legal system
will make sure that executive bonuses are met and that rising Corsican
land values will not impact too harshly on our management sector. Then of course, there's Ross. God Bless you all
