From the Desk of Ms Connie Person
Dateline: January 2012 - Coathanger House - Glen Iris, Australia
Greetings Ryanites and rambunctious New Year greetings from the Glen!
We trust you all had a satisfactory holiday break and (notwithstanding the Mayan Calendar thing) hope that 2012 is one of your better years. And to help nurture this sentiment, Coathanger is pleased to announce that Ross’s 39th Anniversary Tour is back on the road!
Flanked by Glen Combo members Roy Zedras and Ken Stephenson and celebrating not quite 40 years of Ross’s intermittent show business career - Tour39(b) heads to Darwin for two nights followed by gigs in Euroa and Albury.
But poignantly, this journey begins at the base of that other national treasure – Uluru.

There are more shows in the pipeline - right across this land of sweeping plains etc - so keep an eye on your inbox for updates. And as a special shout out to all you Queenslanders who seem to dominate our inbox – believe me when I say we’re truly making a special effort to get Ross and the lads into your neck of the woods in 2012.
As always and no matter where you reside – all venue suggestions are most welcome.
By the way, for those of you interested in 70s Australian singer songwriters – including Ross - there is a rather fine and detailed article by Robert Forster (of Go Betweens fame) in the current issue of The Monthly. In it he makes special mention of Ross’s first EMI album ‘A Poem You Can Keep’; arguing that it deserves a re-release. Inspired by this, Coathanger and Aztec Music are currently fast-tracking the CD version of this 1973 ‘Record of The Year’. More info as it comes to hand.
Finally, Ross has asked me thank all those folks who remembered his December birthday. Considering that the guy lives in a vacuum, he was most chuffed by your cards and emails.
We shall speak!
Cheers,
Connie Person
